PREMIERE: Along Came A Spider Weaves A New Web With Latest Video Release, "Remedy".
If you’ve been to a show in the greater Cleveland area over the last decade, there’s a solid chance you’ve stood exactly where local metal act Along Came A Spider has tore the roof off it. Between headlining tours all over the US, to supporting talent like Black Veil Brides and Chiodos, Along Came A Spider is ramping up to their third studio album on their own terms.
Recently independent and ever dedicated to their craft, Along Came A Spider released the second single “Remedy” on 9/20, instantly landing them a spot on official curated playlists from Spotify, Cleveland Weekly, as well as internationally from Canadian based AudioJolt.
Whereas "Galaxy Eyes" (the first single from the band's forthcoming third album) was in line with today's nu-metal revival, "Remedy" takes a more radio-centric approach. Rooted deeply in pop-punk, fans of Rise Against, Saosin, and Badflower will recognize the sound. This time around, ACAS accompanies the single with a lyric video created by Tyler Cobillas of TC Media. It features a medical-themed visual, matching lyrics like "cancer has spread" and the hook "If I am the sickness / then you are the remedy". The subject matter is a topic the band says is relatable to damn near everybody.
"The song was written about getting through illnesses - both mental and physical - and finding the cure for that disease" explains singer Jamie Miller.
The Cleveland, Ohio and London, Ontario based outfit is poised to make a new mark in their career with their latest effort, which has yet to receive an official release date. Instead, they have been trickling out singles which have amassed around 120K streams the last couple months. We look forward to hearing more.
Until then, we know why you’re here. Check out the debut of Along Came A Spider’s lyric video for “Remedy” below, and be sure to like and follow the band on your social media and streaming platform of choice.
